I have noticed that my Vauxhall Astra's engine is revving at a higher than normal RPM. This is causing the car to accelerate too quickly and making it difficult to use the throttle smoothly. What could be causing this issue?
ReplyThe most common cause of a high revving engine is a vacuum leak. Check all of the hoses and connections in your engine for cracks or breaks.
Another possible cause is a faulty throttle position sensor. It may need to be replaced to fix the issue.
Check the air intake system as well. A clogged air filter or dirty throttle body can also cause a high revving engine.
It could also be an issue with the fuel system. Check the fuel pressure and fuel injectors for any problems.
