Why is my Vauxhall Astra stalling when I accelerate?

I recently bought a used Vauxhall Astra and have noticed that it occasionally stalls when I accelerate. What could be causing this issue?

It is possible that your fuel filter is clogged, causing a lack of fuel flow to your engine. Try replacing the fuel filter and see if the stalling issue persists.

A

Another common cause of stalling is a faulty mass air flow sensor. This sensor measures the amount of air entering the engine and can affect the fuel mixture. Have a mechanic check this sensor and replace it if necessary.

Dirty or faulty spark plugs can also cause stalling. If your spark plugs have not been replaced recently, try replacing them and see if that resolves the issue.

In some cases, the stalling issue can be caused by a dirty or faulty throttle body. Have a mechanic clean or replace the throttle body to see if that fixes the issue.
