Why is my Vauxhall Corsa making a strange knocking sound?

I have noticed a strange knocking sound coming from my Vauxhall Corsa when I am driving at low speeds. It seems to get louder when I turn the steering wheel. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

It is possible that this strange knocking sound is coming from your suspension system. The first thing to check would be your shock absorbers and suspension mounts. If these are worn or damaged, they can cause the knocking sound you are hearing.

Another potential cause could be an issue with your CV joints. These are responsible for transferring power from the engine to the wheels and can wear down over time, causing a knocking noise. It is recommended to have a mechanic inspect and replace them if necessary.

In some cases, the knocking sound could be caused by loose or worn out brake pads. This is something that should be addressed immediately for safety reasons. Have a professional check your brakes and replace any worn parts.
