Why is my Vauxhall Corsa's engine making a clicking noise?

I noticed that my Vauxhall Corsa's engine has started making a clicking noise recently. It seems to be coming from the top of the engine and it gets louder when I accelerate. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

The clicking noise could be due to a lack of proper lubrication in the engine. Check your oil levels and if they are low, top it up as soon as possible.

Another possible cause could be worn out or damaged engine components such as the lifters or valves. It is important to have this checked and repaired by a professional mechanic.

In some cases, the clicking noise could also be caused by a loose or damaged engine belt. Have it inspected and replaced if necessary.
