Why is my Vauxhall Corsa stalling at stop lights?

I recently purchased a Vauxhall Corsa and have noticed that it is stalling whenever I come to a stop at a traffic light or stop sign. This is getting quite frustrating and I'm not sure what could be causing it. Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?
