There are a few possible reasons for this issue. It could be a problem with the fuel system, such as clogged fuel injectors or a dirty air filter. It could also be an issue with the spark plugs or ignition system. Have you had your car serviced recently? A professional inspection and maintenance check may provide more insight into the cause of the rough running engine.

Another possible cause could be a misfiring cylinder. This can happen when the spark plugs are not firing correctly or the fuel-air mixture is not being ignited properly. It's important to get this checked out as a misfiring cylinder can lead to further engine damage if left untreated.

If you have recently changed the fuel or have been using a lower quality gasoline, this could also be the cause of your rough running engine. Lower quality fuel can lead to build-up in the fuel system and cause issues with engine performance. Consider using a higher octane fuel or having your fuel system professionally cleaned.
