There could be multiple reasons for your car not starting. It could be a dead battery, faulty starter motor, or a problem with the ignition switch. Before jumping to any conclusions, it's important to check the basics first such as making sure the car is in park or neutral, and that the battery is fully charged.

If the car still won't start, I would recommend checking the connections to the battery and starter motor. Sometimes loose connections can cause the car to not start. If everything is properly connected, then it's possible that the starter motor or ignition switch may need to be replaced.

Another possibility could be a problem with the fuel system. If your car has been sitting for a while, the fuel may have gone bad and need to be drained and refilled. It's also a good idea to check the fuel pump and fuel filter to make sure they are functioning properly.
