Why is my Vauxhall Grandland's engine making grinding noises?

I noticed that my Vauxhall Grandland's engine has been making loud grinding noises while running. It also seems to be losing power and the idle is rough. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

The grinding noises could be caused by a worn out timing belt. It is important to have it checked and replaced if necessary to prevent further damage to the engine.

Another possibility could be low engine oil levels or dirty oil. Make sure to check the oil levels and change your oil regularly to keep your engine running smoothly.

It's also possible that the issue could be with the spark plugs or ignition system. Have a mechanic check and replace them if needed to improve your car's performance.
