Why is my Vauxhall Insignia automatic transmission jerking?

I have noticed that my Vauxhall Insignia automatic transmission is jerking when shifting gears. What could be causing this issue and what can I do to fix it?

This could be due to low transmission fluid levels, worn out transmission fluid, or a faulty transmission control module. I suggest checking your transmission fluid levels and condition first, and if they are low or dirty, have it changed. If that doesn't fix the issue, you may need to have the transmission control module checked by a mechanic.

Another possible cause could be a clogged transmission filter. If it has been a while since your last transmission service, it may be a good idea to have it checked and possibly replace the filter. This could improve the shifting and overall performance of your transmission.

If none of the above solutions work, it could be due to a more serious issue with the transmission itself. I strongly recommend taking your car to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis and repair. Don't continue to drive with a jerking transmission, as it could cause further damage and be a safety hazard.
