Why is my Vauxhall Mokka's engine making a humming noise?

I've noticed that my Vauxhall Mokka's engine has started making a humming noise while driving. It's not very loud, but it's definitely noticeable. Is this something I should be concerned about?

Hi Samantha, a humming noise from the engine could be caused by a number of different issues. It's always best to take your car to a licensed mechanic to properly diagnose the problem. However, it could be something as simple as a loose belt or low engine oil. Make sure to check these things first before taking it to a mechanic.

Hey Samantha, I had a similar issue with my Vauxhall Mokka and it turned out to be a faulty air intake hose. I would suggest checking that as well as the engine's air filter. If either of those are dirty or damaged, it could be causing the humming noise.

Hi Samantha, another possibility is that the humming noise is coming from the exhaust system. Check for any visible leaks or damage in the exhaust pipes. It could also be a sign of a failing muffler or catalytic converter.
