Why is my Vauxhall Mokka's engine making a knocking noise?

I have noticed that when I start my Vauxhall Mokka and when I accelerate, the engine makes a loud knocking noise. What could be the cause of this and how can I fix it?

Hi Carla, a loud knocking noise could indicate an issue with engine lubrication or a problem with the engine timing. It's best to have a professional mechanic look at your car to pinpoint the exact cause and make any necessary repairs.

Hey Carla, another possible cause of the knocking noise could be a problem with the valves. Make sure to regularly check and change your engine oil to prevent dirt and debris from damaging the valves.

Hi Carla, I had a similar issue with my Vauxhall Mokka and it turned out to be a problem with the fuel injectors. If that's the case, they will need to be replaced by a professional mechanic.
