Why is my Vauxhall Movano engine making a knocking noise?

I have recently noticed a strange knocking noise coming from the engine of my Vauxhall Movano. It seems to be loudest when accelerating and the noise seems to be coming from the front of the vehicle. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

Hi Tyler, there could be several reasons for the knocking noise in your Vauxhall Movano. One possibility could be that your engine oil level is too low, causing the moving parts to make noise. I suggest checking and topping up your engine oil if needed. Another possibility could be an issue with your fuel injectors or spark plugs. It is best to take your vehicle to a trusted mechanic for a thorough inspection and potential repairs.

Hi Tyler, the knocking noise could also be due to a loose or damaged engine mount. This can cause the engine to vibrate and make noise. I recommend having a mechanic check and replace any worn or damaged engine mounts. It is important to address this issue as soon as possible to prevent further damage to your vehicle.

Hi Tyler, have you recently driven over any rough terrain or hit a pothole? It is possible that your exhaust pipes or muffler are loose or damaged, causing the knocking noise. I suggest having a mechanic inspect and potentially tighten or replace any damaged components. This should resolve the issue with the knocking noise.
