Why is my Vauxhall Movano making a strange noise when I turn the steering wheel?

I recently noticed that my Vauxhall Movano is making a strange noise whenever I turn the steering wheel. It almost sounds like a moaning or groaning noise. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

It's possible that your power steering pump may be failing or low on fluid. I would recommend checking the power steering fluid levels and topping it off if needed. If the noise continues, it may be necessary to replace the power steering pump.

Another possible cause could be worn out or loose steering components such as tie rods or ball joints. Have your mechanic inspect these parts to see if they need to be replaced.

In some cases, a worn out or improperly installed serpentine belt can also cause a strange noise when turning the steering wheel. Have your mechanic check the condition and tension of the belt.
