From my experience, a loud noise coming from the engine area could indicate a number of issues such as a worn out belt or a faulty component. As a first step, I recommend taking your Vauxhall Vivaro to a trusted mechanic or dealership to get it checked out. They have the expertise to diagnose and fix the problem.

One common cause of loud engine noise is low oil levels. Make sure to check your oil levels regularly and top up if necessary. If the noise persists, it's best to get it checked out by a professional.

Another possible cause could be an issue with the exhaust system. If you notice any strange smells or exhaust leaks, it's important to address them as soon as possible. A mechanic will be able to determine if there is a problem with the exhaust and fix it accordingly.
