The first thing you should check is your spark plugs. Over time, they can become dirty or corroded, which can cause issues with starting and unusual noises. If they are in good condition, the next step would be to check your fuel filter and air filter. Clogged filters can also result in engine troubles.

Another possibility is a problem with your ignition system. Make sure all of your connections are secure and consider having a mechanic run a diagnostic test to pinpoint the issue. It's also important to keep up with regular maintenance on your Vauxhall Vivaro, such as oil changes, as this can prevent larger issues from arising in the future.

In some cases, a failing battery can also cause engine troubles. If your battery is old or weak, it may struggle to provide enough power to start the engine. Consider getting a new battery if yours is more than a few years old. Additionally, be mindful of any strange smells or leaks, as these can also indicate a problem with your engine.
