It's possible that your engine mount could be damaged or worn out. This can cause the engine to vibrate and make a rattling noise. It's important to have this checked and replaced if necessary to prevent any further damage.

Another potential cause could be loose bolts or a loose heat shield. These can also create a rattling noise when driving. Make sure to have your mechanic check for any loose components and tighten them if needed.

If your Vauxhall Vivaro has a turbocharger, it's possible that the wastegate actuator or actuator rod could be the source of the rattling noise. This should be inspected and replaced if necessary to prevent any issues with the turbocharger.

One simple fix could be using a higher octane fuel. Sometimes lower quality fuel can cause engine knocking, which could also sound like a rattling noise. Try using a higher octane fuel and see if the noise improves.
