Why is my Vauxhall Vivaro's engine making a knocking sound?

I have noticed that my Vauxhall Vivaro's engine has started making a strange knocking sound. It seems to happen when the engine is cold and goes away when it warms up. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

It could be a sign of low oil level or old/dirty oil. I suggest checking your oil level and changing the oil if needed. You can also try using a higher quality oil which can reduce engine noise.

Another possibility is that there is an issue with the engine's timing or spark plugs. I recommend taking your vehicle to a trusted mechanic to have it checked and repaired if necessary.

I experienced a similar issue with my Vauxhall Vivaro and it turned out to be a faulty fuel injector. If the knocking sound is accompanied by a loss of power or decrease in fuel efficiency, this could be the culprit. I advise getting this checked and replaced by a professional.
