Why is my Vauxhall Vivaro's engine making a loud knocking noise?

I have noticed that my Vauxhall Vivaro's engine has started making a loud knocking noise. This noise is especially noticeable when I am accelerating or driving at high speeds. What could be causing this noise and how can I fix it?

This could be due to several reasons such as low oil levels, worn out engine bearings, or a faulty timing chain. I would recommend getting your vehicle checked by a certified mechanic as soon as possible to avoid further damage.

I had a similar issue with my Vauxhall Vivaro and it turned out to be a loose fan belt. Make sure to check for any loose or worn out belts and replace them if necessary.

Another possible reason for the knocking noise could be a misfiring engine. This can be caused by a faulty spark plug or ignition coil. I would suggest getting your vehicle's ignition system checked by a professional.
