Why is my Vauxhall Vivaro's engine making a loud rattling noise?

I have a Vauxhall Vivaro and recently the engine has started making a very loud rattling noise. It only seems to happen when the vehicle is idling or when I am driving at low speeds. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

It is possible that the rattling noise is coming from a loose or damaged component in the engine, such as a belt or pulley. It would be best to have a mechanic inspect the engine to properly diagnose and fix the issue.

Another possible cause of the rattling noise could be low oil levels or dirty oil. Make sure to check your oil levels and change the oil if it appears dirty. This could help reduce the noise.

It is also important to regularly check and replace your engine's air filter. A dirty air filter can cause the engine to work harder and potentially make loud noises.
