Why is my Vauxhall Vivaro's steering wheel shaking at high speeds?

I recently purchased a used Vauxhall Vivaro and have noticed that the steering wheel starts shaking once I reach around 70mph. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

The most likely cause of this issue is an unbalanced wheel or a wheel that is out of alignment. I would recommend taking your van to a trusted mechanic who can perform a wheel balance and alignment to fix the shaking.

Another possible cause could be worn out suspension components, such as ball joints or tie rods. These can affect the stability of the steering and cause shaking at high speeds. I suggest having your suspension checked and any worn out parts replaced.

In some cases, a shaking steering wheel can be a sign of problems with the brakes. It's important to have your brakes inspected and potentially replaced if they are worn out or damaged.
