Why is my Vauxhall Zafira Life making strange noises when I turn on the AC?

I recently noticed that whenever I turn on the air conditioning in my Vauxhall Zafira Life, there is a strange noise coming from the front of the car. It sounds like a rattling or grinding noise and it only happens when I have the AC on. It's really bothering me and I'm not sure what it could be. Any ideas?
