I have been experiencing issues with the air conditioning system of my Vauxhall Movano van. The air coming out has a musty smell and it doesn't seem to cool down the cabin as well as before. What could be the cause of this and how can I fix it?
ReplyHi Alex, based on your description it seems like your air conditioning system may have a build-up of bacteria and mold. This can be caused by not regularly using the AC or leaving it unused for a long time. I would recommend getting an AC cleaner and following the instructions to clean the system thoroughly. If the issue persists, it may be best to take your van to a mechanic for further inspection. Hope this helps!
Hi Alex, another possible cause could be a low refrigerant level in the AC system. This can happen over time and result in a weaker cool air output. You may need to get the refrigerant recharged by a professional for optimal performance. Also, make sure to regularly replace the cabin air filter to avoid any musty smells. Best of luck!
Hey Alex, have you noticed any strange noises coming from the AC system? It could be an indication of a faulty compressor or a leak in the system. I would recommend getting it checked by a mechanic to avoid any further damage. In the meantime, try opening the windows while driving to circulate fresh air and reduce the musty smell. Take care!
