How do I check the transmission fluid in my Vauxhall Vivaro?

I'm not sure if my Vauxhall Vivaro needs transmission fluid added. How do I check the fluid level and how often should I add transmission fluid?

Hi Marie, to check the transmission fluid in your Vauxhall Vivaro, start by parking on level ground and turning off the engine. Wait a few minutes for the fluid to settle, then locate the transmission dipstick under the hood. Pull out the dipstick and wipe it clean with a cloth. Reinsert the dipstick all the way back in and then pull it out again. Check the fluid level on the dipstick, it should be between the two marks on the dipstick. If it's too low, you can add more transmission fluid through the dipstick tube. It's important to check your transmission fluid level regularly and add more if needed to avoid damage to your transmission.

Hello Marie, checking the transmission fluid level in your Vauxhall Vivaro is an important part of vehicle maintenance. The transmission fluid helps keep your transmission operating smoothly and avoids costly repairs. You should check your fluid level at least once a month and add more as needed. If the fluid level is consistently low, there may be a leak in your transmission system that should be checked by a mechanic.
