How often should I have my Vauxhall Mokka's oil changed?

I recently bought a Vauxhall Mokka and I'm not sure how often I need to have the oil changed. Can someone please advise me on the recommended frequency and what type of oil to use?

The Vauxhall Mokka's owner's manual recommends changing the oil every 12,000 miles or once a year, whichever comes first. As for the type of oil, it is best to use a synthetic oil with an API rating of SN or higher.

I have a Vauxhall Mokka myself and I suggest changing the oil every 6 months or 7,500 miles, especially if you do a lot of city driving. As for the type of oil, stick with a synthetic blend to ensure better engine protection.

In my experience, it's always better to err on the side of caution and change the oil every 3,000-5,000 miles. It may be on the more expensive side, but it will keep your engine running smoother and reduce the risk of any potential issues.
