I have a Vauxhall Vivaro and I am wondering how often I should change the oil and what is the process for doing so? Can I do it myself or do I need to take it to a mechanic? Thanks!
ReplyYou should change the oil in your Vauxhall Vivaro every 5,000 miles or every 6 months, whichever comes first.
You can change the oil yourself by following these steps: 1. Place a drain pan under the oil plug. 2. Remove the drain plug and let the oil drain out completely. 3. Once all the oil has drained, replace the drain plug. 4. Remove the oil filter and replace it with a new one. 5. Add the recommended amount of new oil to the engine. Make sure to check the owner's manual for the correct type of oil to use. 6. Start the engine and check for any leaks. 7. Dispose of the old oil properly. However, if you are not comfortable doing it yourself, it is better to take it to a mechanic.
