To check your oil level, park on a level surface and wait for the engine to cool down. Locate the dipstick, usually labelled with a yellow or orange handle. Pull it out and wipe it clean with a cloth or paper towel.

Insert the dipstick back into the tube and pull it out again. Look at the end of the dipstick to see where the oil level falls. If it is between the two marked lines, your oil level is good. If it is below the lower mark, you'll need to add more oil.

If you need to add oil, locate the oil cap on top of the engine. Unscrew it and pour in the recommended type and amount of oil. Be sure not to overfill.

It is recommended to check your oil levels every 1,000 miles or every time you fill up with gas. This will ensure your engine runs smoothly and efficiently.
