Vauxhall Vivaro: Why is my engine stalling when I accelerate?

I have a Vauxhall Vivaro with a diesel engine and I've noticed that when I accelerate, the engine seems to stall and lose power. This is especially noticeable when going up hills or when I have a full load in the back. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

It sounds like your fuel filter may be clogged. When it gets dirty, it can restrict the flow of fuel to the engine causing it to stall. I would recommend replacing it and see if that fixes the issue.

Another possibility could be a faulty fuel pump. If it's not delivering enough fuel to the engine, it can cause stalling. I would suggest getting it checked out by a mechanic to see if it needs to be replaced.

Have you checked your air filter? A dirty air filter can also cause stalling as it restricts airflow to the engine. Try replacing it and see if that improves performance.

It might also be an issue with the EGR valve. If it's stuck or blocked, it can cause stalling when accelerating. Have a mechanic take a look and possibly clean or replace the valve.
