What causes my Vauxhall Astra to overheat?

I have a 2008 Vauxhall Astra and lately I've noticed that it's been overheating. The temperature gauge goes all the way up to the red zone before I even drive a mile. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

There are a few possible reasons for your Vauxhall Astra to overheat. It could be due to a faulty thermostat, a leak in the cooling system, or a malfunctioning radiator. You should have your car inspected by a certified mechanic to determine the exact cause and fix it.

One common cause of overheating in Vauxhall Astras is a low coolant level. Check your coolant reservoir and top off if necessary. You may also want to check for any visible leaks in the cooling system.

If your Vauxhall Astra is constantly overheating, it could be a sign of a more serious problem such as a blown head gasket. This requires immediate attention and should be fixed by a professional mechanic.
