What is a Stop/Start System and how does it work?

I've heard about a Stop/Start System on Vauxhall Grandland, but I'm not quite sure what it does. Can you explain the technology and its benefits?

The Stop/Start System is a feature that automatically turns off the engine when the car is stopped, for example at a traffic light. This helps save fuel and reduce emissions. When you take your foot off the brake, the engine starts back up again.

I highly recommend using the Stop/Start System, as it can lead to significant fuel savings in urban driving. You may notice a slight delay when the engine starts back up, but it's a small trade-off for the environmental and cost benefits.

You can turn off the Stop/Start System if you prefer, but I suggest leaving it on. The system is designed to work seamlessly and is constantly monitoring the engine and battery to ensure it doesn't cause any issues.
