What should I do if my Vauxhall Zafira Life engine is overheating?

I have a Vauxhall Zafira Life and recently I noticed that the engine temperature has been rising above the normal levels. I'm concerned that this could cause damage to my vehicle. What should I do?

First, check your coolant levels and make sure there are no leaks. If the coolant is low, top it up with a 50/50 mixture of water and antifreeze. If you notice any leaks, take your car to a mechanic to have it fixed.

If the coolant levels are fine, then the issue could be with your thermostat. It may be stuck closed, causing the engine to overheat. It's best to take your car to a mechanic in this case.

Another possibility is a faulty water pump. This is responsible for circulating the coolant through the engine. If it's not working properly, your engine may overheat. Have a mechanic check the water pump.
