Why does my Vauxhall Astra's engine make a ticking noise?

I recently noticed a ticking noise coming from my Vauxhall Astra's engine. It's quite loud and doesn't seem to go away. What could be causing this issue?

There could be multiple reasons for your engine to make a ticking noise. It could be due to low engine oil, a failing lifter or rocker arm, or even a faulty timing chain. I would recommend getting it checked by a mechanic as soon as possible to avoid further damage to your engine.

I had a similar issue with my Vauxhall Astra and it turned out to be a faulty valve. Make sure to check all the valves in your engine and replace any that are worn or damaged.

I would suggest checking the condition of your spark plugs and wires as well. They can also cause ticking noises if they are worn or malfunctioning. If they need to be replaced, make sure to use high-quality ones for optimal performance.
