Why does my Vauxhall Grandland's engine shake?

I have noticed that when I start my Vauxhall Grandland, the engine shakes and vibrates for a few seconds before settling down. What could be causing this? Is it something I should be concerned about?

Hi Sarah, this is a common issue with Vauxhall Grandlands and is usually caused by a dirty or faulty idle control valve. It is important to have this checked by a mechanic to prevent further damage to your engine.

Hi Sarah, the shaking could also be caused by a misfiring cylinder or engine mounts that have worn out. I highly recommend taking your car to a trusted mechanic to diagnose the issue and prevent any serious problems.

Hi Sarah, another possible cause could be a clogged fuel filter. This can result in a rough idle and can also affect the overall performance of your car. I advise getting the fuel filter checked and replaced if necessary.
