Why does my Vauxhall Mokka's engine make a rattling noise?

I recently noticed that my Vauxhall Mokka's engine has started making a rattling noise. What could be the cause of this and how can I get it fixed?

The rattling noise could be caused by a loose heat shield on the exhaust system. This can easily be fixed by tightening the bolts on the heat shield. If the noise persists, it may require a visit to a mechanic to inspect the exhaust system further.
