Why is my Vauxhall Astra making a clicking noise while driving?

I just bought a 2019 Vauxhall Astra and recently noticed a clicking noise coming from the engine while I'm driving. It seems to happen more when I accelerate. Is this something I should be worried about?

It's possible that your Vauxhall Astra's engine is low on oil. I would recommend checking the oil level and topping it up if needed. If the clicking noise persists, it's best to take it to a mechanic for further inspection.

Another potential cause could be the CV joints. These are responsible for transferring power from the engine to the wheels and can make a clicking noise if they are worn out. It's best to have a mechanic take a look and replace them if needed.

A loose or damaged heat shield can also make a clicking noise while driving. The heat shield protects the exhaust system and if it's loose, it can rattle and cause a clicking noise. A mechanic can easily identify and fix this issue.
