Why is my Vauxhall Insignia stalling at red lights?

I have noticed that my Vauxhall Insignia has been stalling at red lights lately. It doesn't happen all the time but it's becoming more frequent. What could be causing this and what should I do?

Hi Samantha, there could be a few reasons why your car is stalling at red lights. One possibility is that your spark plugs or spark plug wires need to be replaced. Another possible cause could be a dirty or clogged air filter. Alternatively, it could be an issue with your fuel system, such as a clogged fuel filter. It's best to take your car to a mechanic for a diagnosis and repair.

Hey Samantha, I had a similar issue with my Vauxhall Insignia and it turned out to be a faulty idle control valve. This is a common problem with this model and can cause stalling at red lights. You can try cleaning the valve first, but if that doesn't solve the issue, it will need to be replaced.

Hi Samantha, it's possible that your car is stalling because of a problem with the transmission. If the transmission fluid is low or worn out, it can cause stalling at idle. You should have your transmission fluid checked and changed if needed.
