Why is my Vauxhall Vivaro having problems with the ABS system?

I own a Vauxhall Vivaro and recently my ABS light has been coming on intermittently. I have noticed that my brakes feel spongy when the light is on. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

Hi Emma, the ABS light turning on could be indicating that there is an issue with your brakes. It could be caused by a faulty ABS sensor or a problem with the ABS module. I would recommend taking your Vivaro to a mechanic to have it diagnosed and repaired. Don't ignore the issue as it could affect the safety of your vehicle.

Hi Emma, check your brake fluid level and make sure it is at the proper level. Low brake fluid can cause the ABS light to come on. Also, check your brake pads and rotors for wear, as they may need to be replaced. If these solutions don't work, take your Vivaro to a mechanic for further diagnosis.

Hi Emma, sometimes the ABS light can come on due to a loose or damaged wheel speed sensor. Check all the sensors and make sure they are securely attached. If one is damaged, it will need to be replaced. If the issue persists, I recommend taking your Vivaro to a mechanic for a thorough inspection.
