How to fix a Vauxhall Zafira Life that won't start?

My Vauxhall Zafira Life isn't starting and I don't know what to do. It was working fine yesterday but now when I turn the key, nothing happens. The dashboard lights and radio come on, but the engine won't turn over. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

Firstly, check your car battery. If it's old or not holding a charge, it could be preventing the engine from starting. You can use a voltmeter to check the battery's voltage. If it's below 12 volts, it needs to be replaced.

Another common issue with the Vauxhall Zafira Life is a faulty starter motor. This can prevent the engine from turning over, even if the battery is fine. If you hear a clicking noise when you turn the key, it's likely the starter motor. It should be replaced by a professional mechanic.

It's also possible that your car's immobilizer has been triggered, which would prevent the engine from starting. Try using your spare key, or follow the steps in your car's manual to reset the immobilizer.
