Why is my Vauxhall Insignia making a clicking noise when I turn the key?

Every time I turn the key in my Vauxhall Insignia, I hear a loud clicking noise. This has been happening for a few days now and I'm worried it might be a sign of a bigger problem. Any idea what could be causing this and what I should do about it?

Hi John, the clicking noise when turning the key in your Vauxhall Insignia could indicate a problem with the starter motor or the battery. It's best to have it checked by a mechanic to determine the exact cause.

I had a similar issue with my Vauxhall Insignia and it turned out to be a faulty starter motor. I would suggest getting it replaced as soon as possible before it completely stops working.

I've heard that sometimes this issue can be caused by a loose connection between the battery and the starter motor. Try checking and tightening any loose connections to see if that resolves the problem.
